Pontiac is an american car company, which is owned and manufactured by General Motors. It is considered one of the luxury and performance lines of the GM’s automobile portfolio. They were founded in 1926 and are sold in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Pontiac has just awarded Power Systems & Controls with a contract to provide rotary filters to provide clean, isolated and conditioned power in support of their operations. They required a high level of power quality due to their complicated manufacturing processes. PS&C will be supporting their main plant in Michigan. We look forward to supporting Pontiac and welcoming them into the PS&C family of satisfied customers.

Quality Task Force Established At PS&C

Throughout its history, PS&C has focused its efforts toward reliability and total isolation of the power source disturbances from the customer’s loads. With such a strong emphasis on reliability, the quality of both the basic design and subsequent production has always been a high priority. It was decided that quality control procedures needed to be formalized and total quality was emphasized in the areas of design, manufacturing and testing of the final product.

Earlier this year, management of PS&C, enlarged the quality program to include emphasis on the service of customers with existing equipment. A Quality Task Force was established to provide direction and enhance coordination between departments. The Quality Task Force is charged with the primary responsibility of quality control and quality assurance. Already it has taken big strides in coordinating quality and formalizing the handling of documentation at PS&C.
