PS&C Protects Shell Canada

Shell Canada has selected Power Systems & Controls’ Series MC RUPS to protect the critical operations at one of their refineries in Calgary, Canada. The Series MC provides clean, conditioned, uninterruptible power to the critical load. Also the modules are 100% on-line operation and 100% electrically isolated from utility to load. Shell Canada selected to purchase a Hybrid Rotary UPS for their needs because of its long end of life (EOL) and superior reliability.

Shell Canada is a subsidiary of Anglo-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell PLC and one of Canada’s largest integrated oil companies. Exploration and production of oil, natural gas, and Sulphur is a major part of its business, as well as, the marketing of gasoline and related products through the company’s approximately 1,800 stations across Canada. PS&C looks forward to working with Shell Canada and supporting their operations long into the future!

PS&C Supports Tutor-Perini in Haiti

Tutor-Perini Corporation quickly identified Power Systems & Controls as the ideal subcontractor to help support their operations in Haiti. Perini has been working on important infrastructure projects in Haiti in support of U.S. Aid efforts to help rebuild the country after the devastating earthquakes that ravaged the country in 2010. They reached out to PS&C for help in providing large three phase static inverters to convert direct current to alternating current. They needed these inverters to help power critical substations that would be providing power to thousands of people without power. The units were delivered on time, were installed by Perini on-site, and have been in continuous operation since that time.

Tutor Perini Corporation is one of the largest contractors in the United States with revenue well in excess of $4 billion annually. Perini is headquartered in California and have extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and various other services on a range projects in the United States, Canada, and abroad.
