Mount Sinai Medical Center was established in 1949 by a group of philanthropists and concerned citizens with two goals in mind: To make healthcare services readily available to all people, regardless of race, color or creed, or their ability to pay, and to create a hospital where physicians would be allowed to practice medicine without fear of discrimination. Mount Sinai Medical Center is a hospital in Miami, Florida and has multiple locations through the city. It is the largest independent non-profit hospital in South Florida.
