Controls Design
Our engineering department has over 150 years of expertise in designing power conditioning systems built for quality, reliability and durability. We offer complete Systems Integration capability, combining SCADA, HMI, PLC and PC architectures for manufacturing, process controls and power systems. Our custom panel shop has the capability to design and manufacture electrical, pneumatic and instrumentation control panels.
UPS Rental
Need creative financing? Our power conditioning products can be made available as rent-to-own or long-term lease. Inquire for details.Do you have an immediate need for a short term UPS rental? PS&C has a large fleet of Rental units from 25kVa to 1000 kVA in single modules. Some of the larger units are trailer-mounted similar to the one shown to the left.
UPS Repair and Refurbishment
PS&C's rotary UPS durability is legendary. There are several units in the field that have been in continuous service, with only normal maintenance since before 1975! In the unlikely event that you ever have problems with one of our units, we offer control upgrades, repairs and upgrades.
Training
We recognize that different levels of knowledge and expertise of power conditioning equipment are required within a company. Therefore we have designed three different levels of training programs.
Level I
Three courses make up this level. There is a course on the basic systems for customers facilities personnel. In addition there is a course on the operation theory of the equipment for the customers engineering group. There is also a short course specifically designed for computer operations personnel to familiarize them with the system. Power Systems & Controls experienced personnel will assist the operation staff in developing emergency procedures to ensure that difficulties are minimized.
Level IIThe courses at this level are designed for equipment operators. They are held at the PS&C facility in Richmond with real equipment and real power. No simulators are used. These are hands on type courses designed to give these operators an in depth understanding of the operation of the equipment.
Level III
These courses are the most technical and most thorough. They are designed for individuals with electrical or electronic backgrounds and address the theory behind the design of the system.
