MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS

24/7 Service Anywhere in the WorldPower Systems & Controls provides two types of product support for its power conditioning equipment.

Preventative Maintenance:

Our recommendation for PM involves a qualified service man checking key operational electronic and mechanical settings every six months. Annually (and during a 6 month PM service) more intensive operational checks and lubrications are performed.

The majority of the PM work required to maintain the reliability of your power conditioning equipment can be performed by your staff if they are properly trained. Our belief is regular PM service by a factory field engineer is best for critical power systems. In addition to the inspections and actions listed above our factory representative brings with him years of experience with power systems. His on site knowledge of PS&C equipment is invaluable in spotting problems and equipment trends.

Additional PM service is available on a contract basis for as long as the equipment is in service. Pricing for PM service will be reviewed every three years and will remain firm during the period of coverage. Contract periods as short as one year are available.

Full Service Maintenance:

Full Service Maintenance of your critical power system provides you with factory service and repair of all critical power components (excluding battery) for the contract period. Should any component fail it will be replaced at no additional charge to you. Emergency service is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week at no additional charge. Scheduled repairs will be made during normal business hours. No additional charges for travel, parts or shipping will accrue. As a part of the FM program, PM services are also included. The goal is to provide you with factory service to assure reliability at a fixed cost. Some simple exclusions do apply, Call PS&C for details.

FM contract periods are available on a contract basis for as long as the equipment is in service. Pricing for FM will remain firm during the period of coverage. Contract periods as short as one year are available.

Immediate Response

S&C provides technical support through our service hot line 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. We guarantee that you will reach one of our engineers or a trained technician when you call. If the problem can not be handled directly over the phone, we will either dispatch a contract service representative in your area or send someone directly from our technical support center in Richmond, Virginia USA.

You are covered

Every service call involves the PS&C Corporate Service Department. Our customers are never left "on their own" with a service contractor. If a problem has not been solved in a specified period of time (usually 4 hours), our escalation policy automatically refers it to the next highest level of support. This policy assures that Power Systems & Controls will provide the expertise required to make progress quickly and get the power conditioning product back on line as soon as possible.

Custom tailored to your needs

While other manufacturers may sew you up with an expensive maintenance contract, PS&C takes a more flexible approach. Several different service plans are available, including both preventative and full service maintenance contracts. If you prefer, we can arrange for and provide factory training to a third party in your immediate area. Another option is to let PS&C bring your own personnel to our factory for training in UPS service. PS&C offers you a choice of warranties against defects in design, material and workmanship. One warranty stays in effect for the 12 month period after equipment startup or you can choose coverage over the first 18 months from the date of shipment. A five-year warranty is also available. Initial startup and adjustments must be performed by PS&C. No matter which option you choose, PS&C will stand behind our system, ready to provide further professional assistance whenever necessary.
