System Description
The Series UPSC is designed to provide uninterruptible power and frequency converted power at the same time, based on PS&C's hybrid rotary SERIES MC UPS product family.THE QUESTION Can we build a UPS that has one Voltage and frequency on the input and a different voltage and frequency on the output and still maintain the integrity of a UPS with Battery.?
THE ANSWER Absolutely!!! and that is what PS&C did in 1995 for Motorola Corporate Headquarters. The unit is still in operation today with only scheduled maintenance. The Series UPSC is a PLC based UPS which utilizes the latest technology VFD and protective controls available.
