Power Systems & Controls is proud to announce the acquisition of Traffic Safety Systems, Inc. Traffic Safety Systems is a Virginia corporation, formed in 1971 for the purpose of developing and marketing various traffic and highway safety devices. In 1976, Traffic Safety Systems developed and began marketing the VASCAR-plus, an improvement on the original VASCAR.

Traffic Safety Systems soon contacted Power Systems & Controls to produce prototype models of the new VASCAR-plus. PS&C has since been heavily involved in the production and engineering of VASCAR-plus® systems and after this acquisition will be the sole manufacturer of VASCAR-plus® speed enforcement computer systems. The latest in VASCAR technology, the VASCAR-plus® III will complete the family of “Time Distance” devices. Currently over 30 states and several countries use VASCAR to support their speed enforcement laws.

Power Systems & Controls has a state of the art production and test facility located in Richmond, VA allowing for easy access to Washington, DC and the east coast. PS&C has the unique ability to support both static (solid-state) and rotary (motor generator) UPS, frequency converter, and power conditioning requirements as we are one of the few companies in the world that manufactures both types of technology.
