The ring expansion link will permit isolation for a future section to be added without shutting down the ring bus switchboard (no down time during the upgrade).

Loads change often, and maintenance must be performed at regular intervals without effecting process output. The ring bus distribution system has multiple outputs allowing for separation of the load by command and multiple bypasses for load recovery.

Loads Are Very Non-Linear…

Loads consist of many very precise variable speed drives, and process computers which can feedback as high as 70% current THD to the source (UPS system). The low impedance source provided by the PS&C output generators is naturally suited for this type of demanding load.
