First Power Line Filters Ship

 

We are proud to announce the first shipment of PS&C’s Series PLF Power Line Filters. The Series PLF was designed to deliver clean isolated power into shielded spaces or areas that are not capable of housing tempest rated Motor Generator Sets. These filters range from 5 amps to 1200 amps in 2 to 5 wire versions; however, the 4 wire model is the most common. The Series PLF are manufactured with inductive inputs and capacitive inputs depending upon the customers primary loads down-stream of the Power Line Filter.

The newest models are rated for 100dB from 14K to 10G with a maximum of 1% voltage drop at full load. The Power Line Filters are delivered with lifting eyes and legs for the larger units to ease installation. The case is made from 14 gauge cold rolled steel with an isolation bulkhead that has a separate compartment for ease of clean side connections. The Series PLF can be mounted in any geometry and we are excited to offer this new product line to our dedicated USG customers and clients.

Bechtel Bettis Selects PS&C

                                                                

Bechtel Bettis is a nuclear laboratory in the United States. They have selected PS&C’s Series IMG Industrial Motor-Generator with “Ride-Thru” technology to support their critical operations. The “Ride-Thru” integrates state-of-the-art controls, a single shaft motor-generator, and a mechanical flywheel into a power conditioning system that can deliver up to 5 seconds of ride-thru during an interruption of power. The typical induction-synchronous motor generator system delivers this ride-thru with a maximum frequency drop at full load of no more than 57 on a 60Hz system.

For sensitive applications where tighter tolerances are required, the Series SMG is available with Ride-Thru. Systems with this innovative new feature are sized and customized to meet a wide range of customer driven application criteria. Systems are available in size ranges up to 2000kVA for low voltage and medium voltage applications. Also please consult our factory for 600V and other international voltages available. PS&C Protects Busch Gardens

                                                   

Busch Gardens recently decided to purchase PS&C static Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems to support their amusement park operations. The Continuum UPS systems will be less than 100kVA, and will be used throughout the park. Busch Gardens was initially developed as a marketing vehicle for Anheuser-Busch and featured hospitality houses with samples of Anheuser-Busch products. They also included stables that housed many of the company’s Clydesdale horses, which have been associated with Anheuser-Busch since 1933.

Eventually, rides and attractions were added to the park and over time the park was developed into full theme park while still promoting Anheuser-Busch. Busch Entertainment Corporation, now called SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, was created as a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch Companies to run the various parks in 1959. Power Systems & Controls looks forward to supporting another Virginia corporation, and we can’t wait to visit the park this summer!

Heidan Industrial is a new international manufacturer’s representative, and is quickly becoming the leader in power quality solutions for the UAE. Heidan Industrial is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE and is led by its primary principle Mr. Khalid Heidan. Power Systems & Controls was introduced to Mr. Khalid in 2005 through our CEO Tom Delano. We are excited to welcome and work with Heidan Industrial.

PS&C Powers U.S. Army

                                                                        

Letterkenny Army Depot is a U.S. Army ordnance depot that specializes in tactical missile repair. It was established in 1942 in Letterkenny, PA.

Power Systems & Controls was awarded a contract to supply rotary frequency converters to provide power conversion in support of their critical operations. They selected PS&C Series RFC converters because they preferred a rotary (motor generator) solution, our cost effective proposal, and our ability to support the equipment anywhere in the United States.
