DC Power Supply & DC Inverter
PS&C’s Series DCPS, Direct Current Power Source was designed to provide superior DC Power in the most extreme conditions in the world. Every Power Systems & Controls power supply offers a wide voltage and current range, plus fine setting resolution, so you can precisely generate the power you need to satisfy many different applications. The DCPS was designed to be the ideal solution for our customers and clients that need a D.C. power supply through utilizing a rectifier. A rectifier is an electrical system that converts alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) also known as rectification.
Power Systems & Controls uses a solid-state rectifier. Rectifiers are often found serving as components of DC power supplies and high-voltage direct current power transmission systems. The simple process of rectification produces a type of DC characterized by pulsating voltages and currents (although still unidirectional). Depending upon the type of end-use, this type of DC current may then need to be further modified. Modification would be relatively constant DC voltage produced by such sources as batteries or solar cells.
PS&C’s Series DCI, Direct Current Inverter was designed to provide the best possible solution for any inverter requirement. An inverter is an electrical power converter that changes direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). The converted AC power can be at any required voltage and frequency because of our use of transformers and switching. Solid-State inverters have no moving parts, besides fans for cooling, and are used in a wide range of applications. Some of these applications include converting DC power from Alternative Energy Sources (AES) to large electric utility DC requirements. Inverters are commonly used to supply AC power from DC sources such a solar panels, wind turbines, and batteries.
